Hi Matt,
Not necessarily. It depends on your overall sequence of events which you are not telling us. For example if you are assuming there are no fixture offsets (but there currently is maybe due to a previous Job), and then you Zero the stock with the G92 (Zero Button), then if your GCode clears the fixture offset then there will be a huge shift and a crash. But next time now that the Fixture offset has been cleared it will work ok.
You didn't answer my previous questions.
I guess you miss-typed the Version number. I assume you meant V4.31i.
You missed uploading one of your C files used called shiz.c
Could you upload your G Code?
What are your Tool Setup | Trajectory Planner Settings?
I'm hard pressed to think of a reason why there would be a delay after loading a file the first time and not the second time like you said in a different Thread. I'm not denying it - just can think of why. In both cases it really just runs the file from disk. Can you give some more clues to help us? Does the PC completely freeze? Or does the GCode cursor advance during the delay? Is everything else (other buttons and such) responsive after loading the file? Does the size of the G Code file matter? Is it related to the complexity of the GCode toward the beginning of the file? (ie many short vectors?)
Sorry for all the questions but we need as much info as possible to narrow down where the problem might be.

yes = V4.31i
pc seems to be real stable. there was a tiem that kmotion seemded to stop responding but now it is good.

ok, here is some hard data for the morning almost crash
just doing some simples engraving
1 zero the 3 axis right where I want it
both machine and part zero the same
2 simulate the run so I know it is all good.
3 cycle start
4 scary long pause and then the zero magically rezero's itself to the last line of the g code! lol
what the hell does that? lol

Dont know if this already been answered but here is some things i see with your Gcode. Your
first line or starting block of Gcode program, .....
N5G00G20G17G90G40G49G80 does not need a G00. And i prefer a starting
block to look like this... G17 (set xy plane) G90 (absolute mode) G40 (cancel cutter radius comp) G49 (cancel tool len offset) G80 (cancel canned cycle) G91.1 (IJ relative arcs) G20 (inch mode)
Line...N7G49 is redundant as you already cancelled Tool length Offset at first line of code.
Your pause at beginning is from this line of code at start of Gcode.... g04p4
Line.....N9G00G43Z0.5H1 , needs the G00 removed.
Line.....G94 should be before tool change. Line....N326G00Z0.2s0m05,
needs the s0m05 placed after line N326 with out the s0 command. M05
turns off spindle, so no need to tell spindle to spin 0 rpms.
At line....N12X0.4874Y0.4846Z0.1 add a G00 for rapid move
Clean up code and see what happens. :)

just doing some simples engraving
1 zero the 3 axis right where I want it
both machine and part zero the same
2 simulate the run so I know it is all good.
3 cycle start
4 scary long pause and then the zero magically rezero's itself to the last line of the g code! lol
what the hell does that? lol

the kmotion is what pauses, I have other gcode that do not have any pause to let the spindle get up to speed. they still have the scary pause at first run.
my gcodes with pause for spindle speed work like it should AFTER the scary kmotion pause.
dolphin cam does spit out some stupid stuff, I did not clean up the code before posting it....
anyways what would make the kmotion rezero the 3 axis on the first run to the last position in the code? if I catch it and rezero again it does not act abnormally.
this has no toolchanger being a knee mill

Hi Matt,
I think I was able to duplicate what you are seeing thanks for the info. I don't understand it yet. Please give me some time to look into it.
It seems to be related to jogging, then doing a simulate run, then a G0 with no destination specified.

I got some of my post processor cleaned up and machine specific now.
I did up a simple circle to test the machine once I get back any input on the kmotion fix.

Hi Matt,
Please see if the latest Test Version fixes the issue. Problem was that a Simulation Run of a Job with a dwell sometimes inserted a dwell into the beginning of the next job. If the inserted dwell was at a different machine coordinate from the current position then the DROs (and commanded position) snapped to that position during the dwell. This bug was introduced in V4.31d when fully buffered dwells and rapids were introduced and the Simulation Run
Button.
